Important FAQs
Have questions about your service? Find answers to some of the most common questions below.
1. What happens if I skip a service?
If you skip a recurring visit during the peak growing season, your next visit will cost more. This policy applies from May through September.
Why does the price change?
Skipping a visit gives the grass, shrubs, and weeds more time to grow. The next visit takes longer, requires more work, and places additional strain on our crews and equipment. The increased price covers that additional work.
Pricing after a skipped visit
- Weekly customers: Your next visit will be charged at your biweekly rate because two weeks will have passed since your last service.
- Biweekly customers: Your next visit will cost twice your normal biweekly rate because approximately one month will have passed since your last service, making the visit comparable to a cleanup.
After that visit, your pricing will return to normal.
Exceptions
The additional charge may be waived when:
- There is a severe drought.
- There is a weather emergency.
- Property damage or construction prevents normal growth.
- Yellow River Landscaping skips or delays the service.
For example, the charge will not apply if we cannot complete our schedule because of delays or if your property is mistakenly left off our schedule.
2. What should I do before each service?
There is not much you need to do, but these three things greatly help our crew:
- Pick up toys, balls, hoses, and other objects from the lawn.
- Pick up large pet waste before the crew arrives.
- Make sure gates are unlocked and keep pets safely indoors.
3. What happens if it rains?
In most cases, we can still service your property when it rains during the week. Your service may take place later than usual, but we will make every effort to complete it.
If a major rain event prevents us from servicing your property that week, we will contact you and reschedule the visit. You will not be charged a skipped-service fee when the delay is caused by Yellow River Landscaping.
4. How do I pay?
When you sign up for service, you are required to keep a card on file. For standard maintenance, your card will be charged three days after each completed service.
